I’ve been wondering WHO will be performing at the Superbowl halftime show, since 2004’s infamous “wardrobe malfunction” the performers have been on the older, more classic rock side of the dial. According to Sports Illustrated’s Hot Clicks, this year’s performers will continue that trend, so get your DVRs ready now for THE WHO! Yes!
I love The Who! Who DOESN’T love The Who? Consider me especially excited now for the eventual Saints/Patriots Superbowl; Tom Brady, Drew Brees, kid-toucher Pete Townsend, Randy Moss, Keith Moon, they’ll all be there! Well, maybe not Keith…
There had been rumors that perhaps Bon Jovi would be doing the halftime show, but I can only hope that it is The Who, and them alone. I like me some Bon Jovi, but compare them to The Who and it simply is no contest.
whatever, they should just have prince do the halftime show every year.
especially if the vikings make it.
That’s true, he did rock the shit out of it when he did it. But c’mon, The Who! They’re in their 50s at least, who doesn’t love aging rockers!?!
Try 65 apiece for Daltry and Townshend. John Entwistle’s also dead. RIP perhaps the greatest rhythm section in rock.
50s at least? yeah, try mid-60s. christ, daltery was born when WWII was still on. RETIRE! (again)
can you imagine the concentration issues belichick would have if it were bon jovi, what with his massive man crush on JBJ?
I vote Prince. We can vote, right? and this is a ballot? Perfect. PRINCE!!! In a slightly-related sidenote, I watched the Eddie Murphy special on Biography a couple months ago, apparently there is an entire movie script with music fully written and arranged that Eddie put together 20 years ago called ‘Purple Wheat’ where his buckwheat character plays Prince in a full-length Purple Rain parody. CAN THIS PLEASE HAPPEN??? I vote for Purple Wheat. This is a ballot, right?
p.s. this is the most dubiesque comment I have ever written if you ignore spacing and absense of more caps.
