The Cavs Fly High Over the Hawks

Whenever LeBron is playing there’s always a strong chance of seeing something incredible; last night’s Hawks/Cavs game featured two such plays! First comes his Highness himself, LeBron taking one hard to the hoop and slamming one down right before the buzzer for the half.

Then late in the 4th quarter noted handgun owner Delonte West drives over the outstretched arms of Josh Smith to score 2 points the fun way. Fortunately, this explosion from Delonte doesn’t require police involvement.

Corey Brewer Just Made a New Poster

Corey Brewer’s young career hasn’t given him much time to fill up a highlight reel, but this sick dunk over the Lakers’ Derek Fisher will be foremost among his greatest hits.

Wow. He slams that home with AUTHORITY! Look how far Fisher goes stumbling and falling afterwards…dope!

Chris Kamen Gets Posterized by Trevor Ariza

I wish I had the ups necessary to posterize someone with a dunk. I don’t. Trevor Ariza of the Houston Rockets though, does and so utilizes them to come down hard on Clippers center Chris Kamen.

Awesome.

Dwyane Wade Makes Varejao Rethink His Entire Life

On one end of the court LeBron James went in for a dunk only to see it get blocked by Miami’s Jermaine O’Neal and then on the other end Dwyane Wade drives HARD to the hole and makes Anderson Varejao look absolutely silly. Wade doesn’t dunk on just Varejao, I think everyone Varejao has ever known felt the reverberations from that; his third-grade teacher, his piano teacher, his dog all felt small after this one.

Iguodala Posterizes the Nets

The NBA season has started and just think, in a few short months it will be late June and they will be nearly done with the playoffs! The first months of the NBA season are probably some of the most useless in all of sports, anything that happens now really doesn’t matter at least until January or so.

Speaking of irrelevant, the Philadelphia 76’ers played the New Jersey Nets Friday in an epic battle for eventual 9th place in the East. Sixers star Andre Iguodala decides to liven up the game by throwing down a hard tomahawk dunk over pretty much the entire Nets team, their wives, mistresses, road beef and hangers-on.

Shannon Brown Slams in the NBA (Exhibition) Season

Last night was the start of NBA exhibition season which means we only have 9 short months until the end of the NBA Finals. Better rest up!

Shannon Brown of the Lakers hasn’t been resting up, here he is going coast to coast and throwing down a vicious dunk on professional stiff Mikki Moore.

Get ready for basketball highlights again!

I Don’t See Kevin Bacon Anywhere…

The makers of this video claim that it’s the first ever 720 dunk, clearly they have never seen me play NBA Jam. This is Taurian Fontenette, nicknamed “The Air Up There” playing in an And1 game and throwing down the aforementioned 720. Not too shabby.

Dwight Howard is a Powerful Man

Dwight Howard’s shoulders terrify me, they are so broad, so muscular, so unnatural looking, he’s like a cartoon character. It is those shoulders that generate the power and strength he needs to battle down low in the paint, scoop up a rebound and then slam the ball home so hard that he breaks the shot clock. Awesome.

One Shining Moment

I didn’t expect the Celtics to be able to get past the Cavaliers in the conference finals, but I felt pretty sure they’d at least get there. I also wanted to see whether or not Kevin Garnett would actually play in the series, I still say he would have. Out of the miserable loss last night there were few highlights, but I do like this dunk by Rondo, it features everything you could want, a great pass out of trouble, a streaking Rondo and a magnificent finish over Dwight Howard. Solid!

That’s Not a Dunk, That’s an Acrobatic Flip

Here’s Wyoming freshman Adam Waddell slamming down an emphatic dunk, turning himself ass over tea kettle. But he gets right up and has a big smile on his face, so don’t be scared, even though it looks like he landed on his neck and should be dead…
