After awarding the 2016 Olympics to Rio, the American media was shocked that the US wasn’t selected; especially after President Obama went to make a personal pitch for the games. According to the International Olympic Committee president Jacques Rogge, the decision was not made based on money — which would seemingly make it a first.
“If we had thought about how to make a lot of money we would have chosen Chicago,” Rogge said, “Money is not what drives IOC members when it comes to choosing a host city.”
Which is true — if you ignore the bribery scandals of the last few games.
However, I have a theory why the Brazilians were selected over Chicago…
RIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
am i wrong or has south america never hosted an olympics before? cuz if not, i’d say that’s a big reason why.
You are correct that they’ve never held an Olympics in South America. I still think my point holds.
Also, the topless beaches in Rio, don’t forget those. I can guarantee the worldwide community would rather be on the topless Brazilian beach much more than being around some topless heifer-like Chicagoans.
Screw you buddy, everyone in Rio is all skinny? That’s because they don’t know how to eat. I am calling out a Chicago boycott of the Slanchreport just like I boycott all butterless foods. You can forget about all the viewers I’ve been sending you from my websites: Chicagoatlarge.blogspot, Illinoisbigboyz.wordpress, and Fthoseskinnybrazilians.org
