Magic Johnson and the Fake AIDS

Langdon Perry, a conservative talking-head radio host in Minneapolis on KTLK offered up an interesting tidbit of opinion during his Wednesday radio show. While talking with a caller about education issues Perry and his co-host, Chris Baker, seamlessly segued from education to diseases and then Perry off-hand decides to toss out Magic Johnson; Perry is convinced that Johnson has faked having AIDS. Of course he did. After all, why WOULDN’T a Hall-of-Fame basketball legend want to publicly come out as being afflicted with a deadly disease that sparks revulsion and fear amongst a large majority of the (conservative) population. Makes perfect sense to me! Just another example of those Compassionate Conservatives I suppose. Never mind that Johnson has NEVER had AIDS but does have HIV, but then, why let facts get in the way of scurrilous rumor.

CALLER: What you run into is — you run into this idea, the same way that in education we want to make all the dumb people smart even though it’s impossible — their IQ limits them — and we’re going to spend all this money to try to do something that’s impossible. And you — it’s a waste of time, and you get frustrated employees, frustrated workers with all these demands to do something they can’t possibly do.

BAKER: There you go. All right, thanks.

PERRY: What about diseases that are eminently treatable and you can live with for a long, long time quite healthily if you just get some basic drugs?

BAKER: Like Magic Johnson.

PERRY: Like Magic with his faked AIDS. Magic faked AIDS.

BAKER: You think Magic faked AIDS for sympathy?

PERRY: I’m convinced that Magic faked AIDS.

BAKER: Yeah, me too.

PERRY: It falls apart —

BAKER: Which is horrible.

PERRY: — when you get into motivation. I’m not sure why, but I’m pretty sure he faked AIDS.

BAKER: I’ve got a great email here from —

PERRY: ‘Cause he’s the only cured AIDS guy ever.

Me too…I too believe MJ faked aids. Now whether it was for Michael J or the gov or the now
O administration who knows. All I know is as a person I feel he faked it like maybe as a strategy gainer of some kind, some sort, for self motivating or friend motivating reasons using his celebrity clout or status to get status for some thing or some one etc etc.

you know that MagiC has HIV and NOT AIDS right? No, you obviously don’t because you’re an ignorant fuck. And I’d love to hear your reasoning why, at the absolute PEAK of hatred/misunderstanding/fear/etc of the AIDS epidemic, Magic Johnson would willingly choose to be ostracized by the public that adored him? But sure, he just decided to go from being one of the most popular athletes in the country to a semi-outcast whose teammates were afraid to TOUCH him or let his sweat them.

Has he done incredible things to help educate everyone about AIDS and HIV, yes. Although clearly not enough because you’re fucking dumber than rocks. Go read up on what AIDS and HIV are and how you can live for decades with HIV without it ever turning into full-blown AIDS, especially with modern medicine (that Magic can absolutely afford) and keep your stupid conspiracy theories to yourself you ignorant fuckwad.

Also, learn to spell; Magic, and Michael, NEITHER HAS A “K”

although my guess is you like the “K”, maybe three of them in a row.
Oh wait, am I being too obtuse for you? I mean “KKK”

Sorry, that was rude, clearly obtuse is too big a word for you.

The Slanch Report has started an online petition asking the MLB Network to air the Dock Ellis no-hitter he threw on June 12, 1970 against the San Diego Padres. The moment was a seminal piece of baseball history and is certainly worthy of being rerun.

Please join us in this cause and sign the petition below so we can all share in this special and fantastic moment of baseball history. THANKS!
