Not So Much a Bike Ride Through the Park

Pedro-Horrillo-Mun_1404563cDuring the Giro d’Italia bike race’s 8th stage Belarussian Kanantsin Siutsou took home the victory but the story afterwards was dominated by Spain’s Pedro Horillo Munoz who crashed into a guard rail and fell oer 250 feet down a ravine, and survived!

The ravine he fell down was so steep that rescuers required climbing harnesses and the like in order to safely get down to Munoz. Ultimately taken to a local hospital, Munoz is in serious condition with multiple head injuries and fractures and is extremely fortunate to be alive.

The Slanch Report has started an online petition asking the MLB Network to air the Dock Ellis no-hitter he threw on June 12, 1970 against the San Diego Padres. The moment was a seminal piece of baseball history and is certainly worthy of being rerun.

Please join us in this cause and sign the petition below so we can all share in this special and fantastic moment of baseball history. THANKS!
