Tim Duncan’s Sneakers are the Best in the NBA

I think it’s fair to say that if I crow over a pair of sneakers that it’s probably because they’re incredibly awesome (exhibit a and b); these new Tim Duncan’s are just that. Originally made by adidas for Halloween, Tim liked them so much he’s been wearing them since; no wonder, they’re fucking SICK. Featuring a skeletal look on the top and through the translucent sole, I’m not much for emotionally laden sentiments, but I think I’m in love.

Ana Ivanovic Gets Dressed Months in Advance

I’m not a professional tennis player and so I have no idea of the clothes I’ll be wearing in January; Ana Ivanovic IS a professional tennis player and so she (or more accurately adidas tennis) announced what she’ll be wearing at the upcoming Australian Open. This smart yellow dress took 18 months of development and design to come to light, and she wears it with panache. Then again, when you’re as attractive as the 22-year-old tennis star is, pretty much EVERYTHING you wear is going to look good.

How About a Great Pickup Game

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Normally I don’t like posting these type of ad promos but this Adidas commercial is pretty damn dope. With the NBA season opener coming upon us, it can’t hurt to start thinking about basketball once more. I would LOVE to be at this kind of pickup game, where all the players just go nuts and do some ridiculous moves, sign me up! Also, is it me or is Dwight Howard’s body simply ridiculous. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone with that big and wide shoulders and crazy shoulder muscles with such a tiny lower body. It’s pretty goddamn intimidating. I don’t think I’ll be driving to the hoop on him anytime soon.

The Slanch Report has started an online petition asking the MLB Network to air the Dock Ellis no-hitter he threw on June 12, 1970 against the San Diego Padres. The moment was a seminal piece of baseball history and is certainly worthy of being rerun.

Please join us in this cause and sign the petition below so we can all share in this special and fantastic moment of baseball history. THANKS!
