I think it’s fair to say that if I crow over a pair of sneakers that it’s probably because they’re incredibly awesome (exhibit a and b); these new Tim Duncan’s are just that. Originally made by adidas for Halloween, Tim liked them so much he’s been wearing them since; no wonder, they’re fucking SICK. Featuring a skeletal look on the top and through the translucent sole, I’m not much for emotionally laden sentiments, but I think I’m in love.

Just because someone is a professional basketball player doesn’t mean that he’s mastered all the ins and outs of the game as yet. Take San Antonio’s DeJuan Blair, he forgets that on defense you’re trying to STOP the other team from scoring and decides to help out the Celtics and tip the ball into the net for them. Isn’t that sweet?!
You couldn’t script this better; Halloween featured a full slate of games in the NBA, including one between the Spurs and Kings that featured a surprise flying guest, a bat! In the first quarter the flying mammal swooped down onto the court. While the Spurs mascot tried to corral the creature with a net it took the incredibly fast hands of the Spurs’ Manu Ginobili who, with one quick slap, knocked the bat out of the air and to the ground, so it could be removed from the arena.
