Now when Tom Brady's family gets together for some casual sporting events he's going to have some competition from another professional athlete, Boston Red Sox third baseman Kevin Youkilis is now engaged to Brady's older sister Julie. Congratulations!
Brady—who was drafted as a catcher by the Expos in the 18th round of the 1995 MLB draft —has some baseball skill so he and Youk can bond over that. Whether this turns Youk, a die-hard Cincinnati Bengals fan, into a Patriots fan is yet to be determined (although he was in Indy in the Brady family's luxury box at the Super Bowl.)
This should be the second marriage for both Youk—who previously was with Enza Sambataro (although technically they weren't legally married)—and Julie (who has a 5-year-old daughter.) The pair met at an event at Patriots Place outside Gillette Stadium and have been dating for over a year.
