Supporters of the arts in Evansville, Illinois are receiving a little something extra in (their) stockings this year thanks to Lori Mattingly. The wife of the Los Angeles Dodgers manager Don Mattingly, she managed to convince her once famously mustachioed husband to participate in the annual Nutcracker ballet. 

Appearing on stage as Mother Ginger, complete with giant hoop skirt and Kabuki-style makeup, Mattingly was a hit! Get it?

...He had a lot of hits when he played baseball. Geez. I can't spell out ALL the jokes for you people.  

 
A bit terrifying, but hey, who doesn't love a night out at the ol' ballet with Donny Ballgame?
 
It would have been better though if I weren't so distracted by his grotesque side burns...
