During his NHL career as a goaltender Darren Pang certainly took a lot of pucks off the face. That clearly can cause a problem. Known for vomiting before each game he played in, Pang spewed something foul from his mouth during a recent broadcast of Hockey Night in Canada. While discussing Montreal Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban – who happens to be black – and then comparing him to St. Louis Blues defender Alex Pietrangelo – who happens to be white – Pang says that Subban could learn a lot by watching the younger Pietrangelo who plays the “white way.” Sure, he hurriedly corrected himself to say “right way” but that was a very obvious Freudian slip.
Isn’t hockey already played white?
