Milton Bradley — Not a Model Tenant

milton-bradley-middle-fingerThere’s no love lost between Milton Bradley and the city of Chicago. His tenure there was acrimonious to say the least, but it turns out that it isn’t only Cubs fans who are displeased with the way Milton behaved himself, his former landlord is also very displeased with the tumultuous outfielder.

Pantelis Kotsiopoulos has sued Bradley for almost $44,000 in unpaid rent for the 24th floor North Michigan Avenue condo the outfielder rented. Bradley had agreed to pay $15,000 a month in rent, which makes my rent seem like a pittance, but according to Kotsiopoulos, Bradley also caused $13,900 in damages before vacating the property.

The suit contended he left red paint on white silk draperies, water rings and wine stains on an ebony zebra wood credenza, food and juice stains on a silk velvet ottoman, and a five-foot coffee splattering on the master bedroom carpet.

Bradley meanwhile contends that he caused no such damage, that he gave ample notice before leaving and that Kotsiopoulos never returned Bradley’s $15,000 security deposit.

Clearly no longer a fan of Bradley, Kotsiopoulos said that this weekend when the Mariners are in town playing the White Sox — Bradley’s first trip to Chicago since he left so bitterly — he’ll be rooting for the Sox.
