Nick Markakis is one of the best young outfielders in baseball, blessed with a cannon for an arm, a strong approach at the plate and potential 30 HR+ power he is one of the most important pieces in Baltimore's attempts at relevancy. Markakis is also a fine young man of Greek origins.
In the film 300, Gerard Butler plays King Leonidas, leader of the Spartans and a bad-ass warrior in his own right. Together, with his "bodyguard" of 300 fellow Spartans he fights the massive Persian army of Xerxes to an almost standstill.
