When Roy Halladay pitched his perfect game on Saturday, the Florida Marlins actually had a decent crowd (for them) on hand.
While the Marlins normally average around 16,000 per game, with the Phillies in town a crowd of about 25,000 was on hand. Despite that, there were still THOUSANDS of empty, unsold seats, so the Marlins have embarked on a genius course of action. Sell THOSE seats too!
Starting Tuesday, through the team, you can purchase an authentic unused ticket from the game, years from now you can swear to your friends that you were THERE.
You can’t put a price on that kind of memory.
Although the Marlins are going to try.
I hope they count these ticket sales in their attendance.
